Your Responsibilities
With Engineering Background:
- Web Development & Platform Building – You help digitize our customer journey in the energy consulting sector by developing a self-service platform and finding solutions to make energy consulting more efficient through automation and optimization. Your efforts contribute to customer-centric products which help achieving our goals
- Software Engineering & Quality Assurance – You deliver high quality software that is well tested and conforms to security and performance standards. Additionally, you use our automated CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable deployments
With Data Background:
- Data Processing & Model Development – You prepare internal data, create clean datasets for ML applications, and develop as well as optimize ML models and numerical simulations to enhance the quality and efficiency of energy consulting for our customers
- Benchmarking & Innovation – You evaluate the performance of your models, ensure they meet our high standards, and incorporate new approaches from the latest AI developments to continuously improve our data products
In General:
- Teamwork & Initiative – You work in a cross-functional team of 7 (engineering, data, product design, product management) and actively participate in code reviews as well as product discussions to find the best solutions. You support the product team during customer/product research with your technical expertise
- Leadership & Mentoring – Support the team’s growth through mentoring, 1-1s, and career development. Ensure team performance, happiness, and goal achievement while providing clear direction and fostering collaboration
Your profile
With Engineering Background:
- Technical Expertise – You have solid experience in setting up web applications with Ruby on Rails in an agile environment and are passionate about the latest approaches, including GraphQL integration, containerization, security enhancements, and the integration of modern front-end frameworks
- Architecture Understanding & Best Practices – You're right at home with software components and interactions, as well as modern web/cloud development and testing methods. Plus, you're experienced with monitoring and logging systems like Prometheus, Grafana and OpenTelemetry
With Data Background:
- Technical Expertise & Ingenuity – You have excellent Python skills, a strong understanding of common machine learning algorithms, computational geometry, cloud computing, and the ML software stack, combined with a creative and innovative mindset to tackle challenges and develop effective solutions
In General:
- Team Leadership – At least initial experience in leading smaller development teams, including mentoring team members and contributing to technical decision-making
- Strong Communication Skills – Excellent ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency
